Draw your own conclusions: From: Brody & Josh's Mommy Date: 2007/08/31 Fri AM 12:46:43 CDT To: dbmendell@verizon.net Subject: TT.net Post Don, Regarding your reply on this post (It’s locked now) [ http://www.twinturbo.net/net/viewmsg.aspx?forum=general&msg_id=2050045 ] Made enough power to do this… (see picks) Running about 2.2Bar (32Psi) on 555s with Sunoco GT104+. A/F 11.3 – 11.4 on the Innovate at the time of failure. I can’t say exactly how much power it was developingat the time it broke the rod because I had never turned it up that much before! The last time I had it on the Dyno, was a BUNCH of mods agoon pump gas (Sunoco 93). At that time it made just under 500 HP and TQ at thewheels. That was at 1.3 Bar with high temps from stock radiator and aslight head gasket leak. Since then I went to the Cometic MLS, ARP headstuds, made divorced pipes, installed Koyo, stat & PE cap. I also madequite a few refinements to the mechanical CAM timingafter that too, it was quite violent at the top and I wanted to bring the powerbanddown a bit! At 2.2 Bar, I only got about 10 3rd gear runs (spinning my275 Fuzions al the way through 3rd) 2 full 4th gear pulls, slight wheel spin between4 and 5 KRPM, (4th at 2.2Bar felt like second at 1.3Bar) and about a half of a full 5th gear pull when itbroke the rod, pretty much as soon as it loaded up. So, I estimate about 750 on the ground when it let go??? It is too bad the strength of the stock rods was the FURTHEST thing from mymind when I turned it up that far. Now that I think back, at 500 RWHP,one can assume close to 600CHP, which is about the limit of the stockrods! I guess I really had no business turning it up much past 1.3 –1.5 Bar!!! OOPS, Oh well, I guess I found what I was looking for…….J It’s too bad, it feltSOOOOO good J Would you like to see some pics of the turbo set-up? Brent
